[ARCHIVED] Boil Water Advisory: Pebble Creek and Lee Ridge Subdivisions and Nearby Areas

Oconee County News

Update 02/2/26 12:15 p.m.

Water service has been restored. Those in the affected areas should continue to boil their water until they are notified by the Oconee County Water Resources Department that the water system has been restored to full operation and that the microbiological quality of the water in the distribution system is safe for human consumption.

--------------------------------------------------

Update 2/2/26 10:48 a.m.:  Current ETA to restoration of water service is two hours. Please remember that the boil water advisory will remain in effect for at least 24 hours following water restoration, so that water testing can be completed.

---------------------------------------------------

Due to an interruption of service on a water main, Oconee County Water Resources has issued a boil water advisory for all residents and businesses located in the following areas:

  • Jerry Smith Dr
  • Hwy 15 South of 1331 Greensboro Hwy
  • Old Greensboro Hwy
  • Greene Ferry Rd
  • Flat Rock Rd
  • Maddison Ave
  • Grovebrook Ln
  • Pebble Brook Way
  • Wilkes Farm Ct
  • Apple Valley Ct
  • Rolling Meadows Ln

As a safeguard to protect public health, all customers who have experienced a water outage and/or low water pressure in or near the affected areas are advised to boil all water prior to use for drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food. The water should be boiled for at least one minute after reaching a rolling boil.

Water Resources personnel are working to resolve this issue. Affected customers should continue to boil their water for 24 hours from the time of water restoration. Oconee County Water Resources needs this time to perform microbiological testing to ensure the quality of the water in the distribution system is safe for human consumption. Oconee County Water Resources will notify you in the same manner as previously notified if the boil water advisory needs to continue. Otherwise, you can go back to normal water use and consumption after those 24 hours are completed.
