The Regular Meetings of the Oconee County Board of Commissioners are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. 

An Agenda Setting Meeting is held the Tuesday preceding the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. At the Agenda Setting Meeting, the Board of Commissioners reviews those items to be considered at the Regular Meeting.

During December of each year, the Board of Commissioners approves a meeting schedule for the following year, taking into account any scheduling conflicts. The meeting schedule is posted on the County website and the Courthouse Bulletin Board.

Meetings are held in the Oconee County Commission Chambers inside the Administrative building located at 7635 Macon Highway, Watkinsville, GA 30677. 

Commissioners are elected at-large to designated posts. Commissioners are elected to represent all citizens throughout the county.

There is an agenda item for public comment at the beginning of all Regular and Agenda Setting Meetings.
