February 3 BOC Meeting Highlights

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners held its regular meeting on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. The following actions were taken by the board:

  • Presented Proclamation recognizing “Government Communicators Day”
  • Approved applicant request for withdrawal of Rezone #P25-0273 to modify the conditions of existing rezone #5397 on 8.13 acres located at 2100 Daniells Bridge Road; Commercial
  • Approved applicant request for withdrawal of Variance #P25-0274 to allow loading areas to be located facing a street on a double-frontage lot and to reduce the required distance from the street for the loading area of Building A on 8.13 acres located at 2100 Daniells Bridge Road; Commercial
  • Postponed at applicant’s request until March 3, 2026, Special Use #P25-0228 for Special Use Approval for a Contractor’s Office/Showroom/Warehouse/Corporate Area with limited outdoor storage within privacy-fenced area on 5.014 acres located at 1691 Jimmy Daniel Road; Vacant
  • Approved with three conditions Rezone #P25-0272 from AG to AR on 5.00 acres located at 2251 Clotfelter Road; Vacant
  • Approved with three conditions Variance #P25-0248 to allow a private access drive to exceed 2,000 feet in length on 181.41 acres located at 2361 Salem Rd; Vacant
  • Approved with three conditions Variance #P25-0249 to increase the number of lots allowed to access a private drive/easement on 181.41 acres located at 2361 Salem Rd; Vacant
  • Approved Fiscal Year 2026 mid-year budget amendments
  • Approved changes to Oconee County 457(b) Plan to allow conversion from pre-tax 457(b) to Roth 457
  • Approved Civic Center re-roof and exterior restoration projects
  • Approved scope modification for US 441 sanitary sewer diversion design services
  • Approved the quarterly acceptance of Deeds and Easements
