The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Division is dedicated to building strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and families across our school communities. Our SROs are certified deputies assigned to each school in the county, where they serve as mentors, educators, and protectors.
Beyond ensuring safety, they actively participate in school events, educate students on important safety topics, and work to build trust between law enforcement and youth. Many of our SROs bring diverse law enforcement experience—from patrol to investigations—and are selected for their ability to connect with young people and foster a safe, supportive learning environment.
